If you do not own a boat, a number of other options are available to you in Paynesville and

SEQUESTER"  - for Bareboat or Skippered Charters 
Come and sail the magnificent Gippsland Lakes on Sequester,a Hunter 33.5. This beautiful yacht will allow you to experience the real delights of the Lakes system, from 2 hours to whole day charter.
If you would like to learn to sail, then the highly qualified skipper will be able to teach you all aspects of sailing. Of course if staying on board and sailing the lakes yourself is preferred, then the Sequester is perfectly laid out with 2 double cabins, one a v-berth in the bow and the other aft, a convertible double dinette and single berth. With an enclosed head & hot water showers, all the creature comforts are included.
Why not book the boat for one or two days with your Gippsland Lakes Escapes property, and have your boat sitting at your private jetty for the duration of your stay.
Day charter have a 6 person maximum, and the stay on board charters are perfect for 2-6.

MV Riptide - Fast Charters
This is the way for fast trips across the lakes. Riptide is licensed to carry 12 passengers. Based in Paynesville it can transport passengers quickly to various locations around the lakes such as to Loch Sport, or Metung for lunch at the pub or to numerous locations around the lakes for a picnic or walks and then be picked up later to be whisked back to your accommodation in Paynesville.

Sail Safari - on board Calypso
If you want to learn how sail or if you just want a great day out with a skipper showing you all the best spots on the Lakes, then Calypso is the yacht for you.  Licensed to carry up to 11 passengers you can explore by the hour, half day or full day. Cruises round the canals, or great out of the way spots like Sperm Whale Head, Rotamah Island and more can be visited. Your qualified skipper has all the knowledge you need.

Lakes Navigation Company
This is a great local company that will pick-up and return to jetties with prior notice with 2 boats in service,  The Corringle & The Plover. These are both skippered and will take tourists to most places within the Lakes. The company will take you to the 90 Mile Beach and return for you at the end of the day, or you can relax with a tour around Paynesville and the canals, around Raymond Island or visit Sperm Whale Head and the Lakes National Park. Any trip is possible! Available for private and group bookings for up to 70 passengers using both boats. Full day - Half day and 1 hour cruises.

Capricorn Gypsy Cruises
Sailing around the Gippsland Lakes on this beautiful boat will certainly make your holiday.
A day trip could get you to all the special spots around the Lakes, or just to Metung for lunch... the choice is yours. Gippsland Lakes Escapes guests have a unique benefit of pick up in Paynesville (subject to conditions). The boat specialises in large groups and can take up to 28 passengers.  Overnight trips with stay on board facilities.

Wallagaraugh River Wilderness Cruise
Mallacoota is a little further away, so if you are planning a big day out from Paynesville, travelling on this cruise through the wilderness is really different. The boat "Discovery" will launch you into the realm of the wild birds, especially the infamous sea eagle of the area.
