Bairnsdale’s Cinema Centre
Shows the latest release films on 3 screens in a new modern setting. McLeod St. is easily reached by turning left at Luckes Meat Works as you drive in to Bairnsdale along the Mitchell River from Paynesville, just after the 60 speed limit sign.

Bike Riding

The Rail Trail
The Bairnsdale to Orbost railway line has been turned into a recreational trail which starts in Bairnsdale & continues to Nowa Nowa which is about 60kms. Eventually it will completed to reach Orbost which will make it around 100kms long.

If you like biking, this is a great trip to pack a picnic and enjoy with the whole family.

Bike Trails – Paynesville
All around Paynesville and Raymond Island the bike enthusiast should find it easy going.
There are great rides to go on and explore, especially from Paynesville to Eagle Point along the foreshore of Lake King.

TRAIL RIDES
There are several companies providing trail riding experiences within 30 to 45 minutes of Paynesville.
Coonawarra Trail Rides (5157 6395, 0428 576 395) explore the foothills of Dargo and cater for small or larger groups, inexperienced or experienced riders, 1 hour to overnight rides.

Dinner Plain Trail Rides  offer great treks in the High Country and Mountain Trails. An hour and half from

THE GREAT ALPINE ROAD
Not far from Paynesville is the beginning of the Great Alpine Road. Drive some of it, or all of it and still be back to your base of Paynesville in time for dinner.
Bruthen is a great family destination only 35 minutes from Payesnville.
