Love the location and the view. We saw a lot of kangaroos in the field behind the house. A koala was sitting in a tree just in front of the house. The kids just love them. Ideal house for a family gathering. There was a nice size front lawn for the kids to run around and played frisbee. The Bbq was very useful. We cooked every night on the bbq. The house has utensils and cutleries catered for a large family. Our gas bottle ran out. Managed to call the host and was quickly replaced by a new one.
Excellent location for access to the water. As a family group of 6 members, the accommodation was perfect! Information and communication was also prompt and excellent. My elderly father in law of 95 years of age was able to negotiate his way around the house and also watch the water activities from the deck. This was a very important aspect of booking the home, that it had a great outlook across the water. This information was communicated accurately and resulted in a wonderful holiday. Thank you for hosting such an excellent, clean and tidy home. We would highly recommend it to other family groups any time of the year as there is so much to do in and around Raymond Island. We took our kayaks and Tandem Island, access to the water was easy. Love to visit again!
I totally loved this house. The fireplace, the space and the large picture windows that looked out onto a magnificent view. I can not recommend the stay here highly enough. Driving up to the property at dusk presented us with a family of kangaroos peacefully enjoying the sweet new grasses of the neighbouring lawns. They watched us arrive but did not fuss about our presence. The next few days exploring the Island delivered us close up and intimate conversations with Echidna’s and Koala’s, a privilege in these days of urban expanse. Raymond Islands natural reserves, the open architecture of the residential houses and the gentle lapping water of the Gippsland Lakes all sit in harmony with each other. This place, these people, this clean and sweet air is a paradise. I will always return and I will always look to Gippsland Lakes place to look after my accommodation.
Fabulous house, so many nice touches!
