The Waterfront Retreat, one of East Gippsland’s best-kept secrets, offers a tranquil escape on 20 acres of natural bushland along the banks of Lake Victoria. With 19 self-contained lodges ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, guests can enjoy lake or bushland views while catering for themselves in fully equipped kitchens. Just 15 minutes from Paynesville and 20 minutes from Bairnsdale, this peaceful haven is perfect for nature lovers, complete with a resident mob of friendly kangaroos.
Perfect for couples, our six one-bedroom lodges sleep two people and are self-contained, with fully equipped kitchens and washing machines, TVs and DVD players, a coffee pod machine, and basic cooking necessities like tea, oil, vinegar, and salt and pepper.
All have outdoor covered decks with a table and chairs and BBQ for grilling up delicious food outdoors. All of our one-bedroom lodges are also in easy walking distance of retreat facilities such as the pool, spa, conference centre, jetty, water activities, and reception area.
From any of our one-bedroom lodges, enjoy activities such as walking, cycling, swimming, canoeing, sailing, caving, and wine, beer, or cheese tasting, or just relax by the pool after unwinding at the heated outdoor spa.
Ivanhoe and Amphion are our most private one-bedroom bush-view lodges. These secluded lodges are tucked away where the peaceful natural surroundings attract colorful bird life, kangaroos, and other native creatures.
