I booked "Kookaburras", as the rental property is known, over Xmas 2020, for a family get-together. When we got there, we were pleasantly surprised to find, apart from the usual tea, coffee and milk, a loaf of fresh bread and a jar of local raw honey waiting for us. The location was ideal. It was quiet and peaceful with access to a lake - which one of my sons made good use of with a Zodiac which he had brought up. The house was well appointed: four generous bedrooms, with the main one with an en-suite and a large living/dining area with an outlook onto the garden. While the location can be described as remote, shopping was 15 minutes away in Paynesville and 20 minutes away in Bairnsdale (which offers the a very large Woolworths) We had a fabulous time and we thoroughly recommend Kookaburras to those interested in nature, comfort and a convivial place to stay.
